JJ and Roberino Intervention

Under my Sandcastle post, Sarah commented: "Is that Tate? :c) " Answer: Obviously NOT!

My original intent for this blog was to be a place where you guys could meet the "Real Tate".. One where he had not been overly "sissified" by his Mom or turned into a "NewYork-loving, Cowboy-hating, liberal-reactionary" by his Dad.

Both JJ and Roberino were editors for the Ole Miss "Daily Mississippian". Despite the exciting ad terribly clever name of their paper, they managed to turn it into yet another liberal media outpost to spread their socialist agenda (if you know what I mean. If not, see Sissified and New York Loving above).

Despite my numerous letters to these editors during their time at Ole Miss, I was NEVER published. Enough said about their hidden agenda???

The same censorship continues today with the "To the Moon and Back" blog! You will notice a slide show on the right hand side of my blog. Those are my entries to the "Tate Words" contest. Apparently they were all rejected and instead we get "Gestate". Eeewwwwwww.

So this blog is my intervention attempt to save Tate from a life of embarassment.

Long live the First Amendment!
(2nd Amendment too, but then, that will be the subject of a future post).

Listen Big Guy -- you wanted us to publish a letter to the editor about saving the "cymbals" in the Ole Miss band when the real issue being discussed in the paper at the time was saving the "symbols" of the Old South on campus. I was trying to save you from a life of ridicule or being declared, as I was, the "Dumbass of the Day."

And someone who compares his grandson to Hitler should not be calling other people Socialists!

1. What the hell is the picture of you in the glowing suit?

2. Rob told me last Saturday that no one calls him Roberino so we call him Bongo now.

3. I'm like 25 years younger than you and I can't figure out how to do the slidshow on my blog.

4. Can you talk to Sarah and my dad? He thinks blogs are boring and he won't do one.

When Angie found it necessary to tell Big Guy what LMAO stood for, I figured I needed to use a picture of myself that would let everyone know that Big Guy was quite familiar with the ways of "the Internets".. we even have some of those Internet "Tubes" run to our house so we can use "the Google" whenever we want! Hence the suit!!

PS. Angie, I can still use some help on WTF a Katie and Suri are!!

Big guy....YOU are my new favorite (wear the honor with pride!) I'm so ROTFLMAO at this post (you may have to ask Angie to interpret that one for you). And yes(in reference to Rebekah's #3), I have tried to do the slide show thing too and I can't. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

To add a slideshow, i just went to Customize (option in upper right corner of your blog screen next to sign out). Within that, you get a layout of the blog with an item that says "add a page element". Click on that and one of the choices is Slideshow! You will need to upload your pictures to Picassa (free Google add on) or you can use Flickr or Photobucket. I use Picassa so I selected it and clicked Album rather than keyword. Then you give it your Picassa name and it will let you select the album you want to use for slideshow.

One thing I found though is if someone clicks on the slideshow, it will open in a new window where they can also see any other Public albums you've loaded. I had some family ones that I didn't want public (Pictures of my three daughters that I'm saving for future blog posts - ie. Blackmail) I decided to make those albums Private for the time being.
Hope this helps!

Big Guy--it's been 24 hours. Are you all blogged out and don't have anything else to post?
